What We Do

V.O.I.C.E. workshops are culturally humble, specialized training opportunities for organizations and institutions who value, promote and support the VOICE of each individual and contributor to the collective experience.

The Launch of V.O.I.C.E.: Presented by James D. Coppedge, youth leader, entrepreneur and male mentor.  Affectionately titled "V.O.I.C.E. of the Barbershop", which brings young men of color together, "Men of Excellence" at The Renaissance School in Springfield, MA, to share their personal and collective experiences.  At the same time, they are given free haircuts, guidance, and support, while being encouraged to be facilitators and partners in the conversation.

YWCA 1.0

  • The Passion of the Presenters!

  • The energy was great in your training. I have attended many that center around cultural humility via other institutions, but the atmosphere you created (even on Zoom!) made it feel really easy and safe to participate. It was a positive and validating experience

  • I loved everything about this training! I will recommend this training to the contacts I have from other agencies.

YWCA 2.0

  • Being part of a learning circle that honors the perspectives, disclosures, and revelations of others. Talking about how strengths and limitations regarding culture and identity impact our work. The hosts are amazing.

  • This training is informative and really forces you to think. Cultural Humility is something that benefits us all in all aspects of our lives, both professionally and personally.

  • The trainers were fabulous!

I just want to THANK Lakisha, I really needed this help to be able to do the QRIS Level 2. I had no idea what this process meant. Also, my English is not good and she was always there to help. THANK YOU LAKISHA, God bless you.

The instructor did an amazing job throughout the whole month of the class. She was accessible and approachable.

CISA

I appreciated how you eased into what can sometimes be a very difficult concept to grapple with (especially for white folks) and made it super accessible.  People have expressed your workshop being the BEST workshop they had ever attended!
